Basket 90 Gdynia pokonał Energę Toruń 76:74. Gospodynie do zwycięstwa kolejny raz poprowadziła Jelena Skerović, która zdobyła 16 punktów, 7 asyst i 5 zbiórek. 

Spotkanie pomiędzy Basketem 90 a Energą zapowiadało się wyjątkowo emocjonująco. Szczęśliwie skuteczne rzuty Paris Johnson i Magdaleny Bibrzyckiej pozwoliły Basketowi 90 zbliżyć się do rywalek. Skuteczne okazało się również wprowadzenie przez trener Katarzyna Dydek na parkiet dwóch wież – Malone i Johnson. W ostatniej minucie Gdynianki w dalszym ciągu grały dobrze i dzięki temu na 15-minutową przerwę schodziły z tylko jednopunktową stratą.

W przerwie kibice zgromadzeni w hali mogli podziwiać nowy konkurs wprowadzony przez nasz zespoł. “90 w 90” to zawody, w których do pojedynku stają dwie, 3-osobowe drużyny. Każda z nich otrzymuje 90 sekund, 2 piłki i stara się trafić jak najwięcej rzutów. Wygrywa drużyna, która uzyska większą ilość punktów. Osoby starsze niż 16 lat rzucają spoza “trumny” natomiast młodsze spoza półkola podkoszowego.

Podczas meczu jako pierwsze wystąpiły zespoły składające się z “Mopowych” na codzień występujących w GTK SP 14 w składzie: Anna Witkowska, Wiktoria Romaszkiewicz, Martyna Pestka oraz członków Klubu Kibica w składzie:Piotr Matuszak, Grzegorz Azarewicz,Tomasz Rocłowski. Zwyciężyła drużyna dziewczyn w stosunku 40 do 29.

Początek trzeciej kwarty nie był przełomowy – Basket 90 zdołał odrobić stratę, ale brakowało mu sił, żeby zbudować większe prowadzenie. Dopiero pod koniec tej części spotkania, po punktach świetnej Jeleny Skerović, Kamili Podgórnej i Anny Jakubiuk gospodynie wyszły na siedem punktów przewagi. Ostatecznie Basket 90 pokonał Energę 76:74 i umocnił się w górnej części tabeli.

Ostatni gwizdek nie zakończył jednak emocji w Gdynia Arenie. Na pomeczowej konferencji prasowej, która zgodnie z ostatnią tradycją odbyła się na boisku i była otwarta dla wszystkich kibiców, Agnieszka Bibrzycka ogłosiła, że w tym sezonie nie wybiegnie już na parkiet.
