Już od pierwszych minut meczu nie do zatrzymania były Copper oraz Aleksandravicius, które zdobyły pierwsze 12 punktów dla swojego zespołu . Gorzowianki równie skutecznie grały w ataku i w połowie kwarty na tablicy widniał remis po 12, ostatni w tym meczu. Od tego momentu to gospodynie dzięki lepszej obronie przejęły spotkanie i sukcesywnie powiększały swoją przewagę prowadząc po 10 minutach 26:10.
Gdynianki w dalszym ciągu były skuteczne atakowały i nie pozwalały akademiczkom odrabiać strat. Po dwóch celnych rzutach zza łuku Jankoskiej wyszły na prowadzenie 41:26 a o czas musiał prosić trener AZS Dariusz Maciejewski. Przyjezdne nadal nie mogły znaleźć odpowiedzi na Copper, która po pierwszej połowie miała 18 punktów a Basket prowadził 51:36.
W przerwie gdyńskiej publiczności zaprezentowały się dwa zespołu VBW GTK Gdynia U-18 oraz U-22 pod wodzą trener Karoliny Wieczorek. “Nasze gdyńskie drużyny” to akcja, której zadaniem jest zapoznanie mieszkańców Trójmiasta z młodzieżowymi zespołami z tego regionu.
Po zmianie stron gdynianki nadal grały bardzo skutecznie i prowadziły nawet 28 punktami (76:48). W czwartej kwarcie trener Vetra postawił na polskie zmienniczki, jednak nic nie mogło zagrozić prowadzeniu Basketu i po 40 minutach to gospodynie cieszyły się z trzeciego zwycięstwa z rzędu w lidze.
